Essential Functions:

  • Collect, compile, and organize facts, figures and/or other information in accordance with established procedures or as directed.
  • Assists in the preparation, analysis, and review of information necessary for inclusion in and for the timely filling of governmental and other agency cost reports.
  • Works to coordinate information necessary to respond to financial and government audit requests.
  • Assists with the research of reimbursement issues affecting hospitals regarding current and proposed Medicare and Medicaid regulations.
  • Helps with the research and preparation of position papers in response to audit adjustments.
  • Uses and promotes the use of technology during the consulting process to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assists with PowerPoint presentation including proposals.
  • Meet or exceed hourly chargeability goals.
  • Monitor Backlog/Pipeline report.
  • Develop relationships with external clients.
  • Work well with internal contacts and foster a positive/professional attitude.
  • Work on other consulting projects as necessary.

Successful candidate will have: 

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong computer skills including Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to demonstrate good analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
  • Ability to work within strict deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • Ability to demonstrate current knowledge and understanding of healthcare governmental regulations is a plus.
